Especially, for the people who wants to be in peace. Ajmer is the city which is most popular because of heavenly dargah of king of India Hazrat Khwaja Garib Nawaz Moinuddin Chishti.

Ajmer is also known as The heart of Rajasthan. The Dargah shareef Ajmer architectural marvel and offers peace to everyone without any condition on the caste or religion of the person visiting the Dargah.

So at 4’O clock AM we reach Ajmer and took a taxi to find a hotel near Dargah shareef. As we didn’t pre-book our hotel room before coming but you can book your hotel online. After sometime we find a hotel room, it was early morning and because of travelling both of us was very tired. So, we decide to take rest.

Ajmer shareef dargah

After sleeping 6-7 hours continuously, We woke up and fresh had a breakfast. Then first we went to Dargah shareef of Hazrat Khwaja Gareeb Nawaz Moinuddin Chishti. There was a huge amount of public crowd. So, it took sometime to enter inside and we stayed whole day there,

Most popular thing is to offer a (Foolon ki Chadar) to Dargah and asking for anything you want. We cannot express the feeling. must spend sometime do nothing just sit and fell the peace of the beautiful place.

The Dargah was build in 13th century and it is so popular in india for every believer. They believed that Hazrat Khwaja Gareeb Nawaz MoinUddin Chishti fulfills the wishes of every people.

There are three gates of Dargah:

  1. Nizam Gate
  2. Jannati Darwaza
  3. Buland Darwaja

Dargah is open from early morning to night, Several Indian and International performs Qawwalis after the night prayer. There is a lot of restaurant outside the Dargah, then we had a dinner in hotel & went back to our room. End of First day Let’s Talk about next day and next places.

adhai din ka jhonpra

It was our 2nd day of Ajmer, we decided to explore Adhai din ka Jhonpra. Which is the historical Mosque in the city of Ajmer Rajasthan. It is also one of the oldest Mosque in India and surviving Monument.

It is located at a distance of just 450 Meter from Dargah. So, we decided to go without any vehicle, there is a lot of shops. We were going there to have a look of those shop. So when we will come back to buy anything we would remember. After 2 mins of walk we reached there and stayed sometimes to see everything as we were excited to see those walls and so on.

Why it named as Adhai din ka Jhonpra, The reason is it was establish only in “2½” days. Founded by Qutub-ud-Din-Aibak on the order of Mohammad Ghori in 1192.

Most of the people who visits Dargah and when they are about to left from Dargah and have time so they must visit Adhai din ka Jhonpra as I already mentioned it is just 450 Meter away from Dargah. After spending sometimes we left and headed to the Ana Sagar Lake.

The beautiful Ana Sagar Lake is a magnificent Artificial Lake is located in the city of Ajmer, Rajasthan. Ana sagar is located at a distance of 2 KM from railway station, biggest lake in Ajmer.

It was Friday, after having our lunch we took a rest then decided to explore Ana Sagar in Lake during sunset. It is the best time to visit Ana Sagar lake when the views are extraordinary to look. Must take your camera to get some gorgeous photos, The Lake was surrounded by beautiful park Daulat Bagh Garden and pavilions.

Most of the families visit there for picknick and spend time. just sit back and enjoy the sunset, you can also feed food to fishes of the lake like popcorn and other thing.

Best thing in Ana Sagar lake is you can visit island from the boat. Which is located mid of the lake & it’s costing of 160 INR per person. The best time to visit from October to March when the water level is full because in the summer season lake dries up.

According to historian, When Hazrat Khwaja Gareeb Nawaz Moinuddin Chishti arrived in Ajmer with some of his followers. They restricted to use the water of Ana Sagar, Then he sent one of his followers with the bowl & when he arrived ana sagar all the water of lake came into the bowl sent by Hazrat Khwaja Gareeb Nawaz Moinuddin Chishti and lake dried then people requested to return the water so he returned. Afterthat, the followers of Hazrat Khwaja Gareeb Nawaz Moinuddin Chishti multiplied.

After Enjoying in the park and did some activities witnessed the sunset, we returned back and had a dinner and get back to our hotel. End of 2nd day.

Tourist Attractions in Ajmer

Last Day Early morning we woke up and got ready as we were too excited to visit Targarh Fort to trek. Taragarh Fort is a fortress design upon a steep hillside in the city of Ajmer, Indian state of Rajasthan. The fort also known for its strength and strategic importance.

The 3 grand gateways of Taragarh Fort named as Phuta Darwaza, Lakshmi Pol and Gagudi Ki Phatak. But unfortunately, these gates are now in ruins. Hiking this fort was one of the best experience in Ajmer it took around 3 hours to reach to the top of the Taragrah Fort at !0 AM, as we started our trek early morning.

But, If you don’t want to trek you can simply hire a vehicle from Adhai din ka Jhonpra it cost around 500 INR per person. While trekking we saw a lot of other people also trekking, a lot of shops. So, we decided to take a stop to have some snacks, cold drinks and much more, we also bought some rings, caps and some other things.

Afterthat, we started our trek & saw such a beautiful view all around there was a mountains, so we had some photoshoot. We also got to see about that huge magical stone which was hanging in the air. According to the legends, that rock was stop by Hazrat Khwaja Gareeb Nawaz Moinuddin Chishti with just two of his fingers.

After witnessing all of those things when we reached top of the Fort that view was just Awesome, you can also see the Ana Sagar lake, Adhai din ka Jhonpra and Dargah. You can witness everything in Ajmer from the top of the mountains. It has one more Dargah on top of the fort named as Hazrat Meera Syed hussain.

Akbar’s palace, constructed in 1570AD. It is well known about museum which portrays the old-age military weapons and exquisite sculptures, paintings and other artefacts of the Mughal era.

The museum showcases various aspects of the Rajput and Mughal style of living and fighting. The large black marble statue of Goddess Kali situated in the palace is quite famous.

Daulat Bagh

It is also one of the best tourist attraction in Ajmer. Daulat Bagh attracts huge crowd in evenings at summer season, the beautiful garden of Daulat Bagh was establish by Jehangir that adds to the magnificence of the majestic lake. 

It is an ancient but well-maintain garden that was establish by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. It is a garden that is adorned by the beauteous green surroundings and a fountain that provides an ultimate relief from the tiresome schedule of the day.
